Hooray~ XM made it again! We’ve got 1Merit, 3Bronze and 2Silver for Kancil Award 2008-which is the advertising industry’s biggest competition in Malaysia! That was beyond our expectations, an historical moment for XM. The project we did for Boleh Media – "Looking for Mr.Big" shines through the projector screens for 4 times!! We got 3bronze and 1silver just for that single piece of work!! Congrats to Ashok and Pei Lyn, they will soon be the legendary "Twins Effect" after the Kancil Night. Thank god we succeed to get 6awards back, or else… I think we’ll not have any peaceful day to live on in XM from Monday onwards. XD Considering that most of the work we do is for the web, and we are competing with large scale agencies like Naga DDB, Ogilvy, Saatchi and others, it is an amazing achievement, something we can all be really proud of. We beat out a lot of the big agencies, and we won more awards than our traditional interactive agency rivals: IF and Arachnid.

That’s the recognitions and excitement you can find in design field, which is very different from the other field like business, engineer, doctor… any other field u can name them. Every designer desires them. There are a lot of award addicts in this field, who needs to fulfill themselves with recognitions and awards. I might soon be one of them, but I guess that will just be a temporary happiness, because we’ll never satisfied and we expect more. Who knows we might still felt empty by the end of the day? What can we consider about that? The great achievements in our life? Anyway, I’ll never regret to be in this field.

Weee~ bought this book with 30% off for members in Popular! Seems very promising after reading the summary + it’s an award winning fiction. Probably will start reading it next month… very very very and very very very busy now T.T

Jonathan & Esther

Jonathan & Esther Ng (also known as Aster Ng, which I modified it by myself, cause it looks nicer, and shorter :p). My aunt found this memorable picture (left) while keeping the cupboard in my grandpa house last month. As you can see, after 20years, we finally appeared with HUGE size. God bless me with an elder brother that only older than me 1year. That causes not much conflict between our thoughts. He is my best companion during my childhood. Can’t imagine my childhood without him… I would be soooooo lonely. Together we play, together we learn, together we eat, together we fight, together we bully others, together we sleep, together we hide, together we discover new places, together we got beaten, together we get punish. I miss the time we had, without worries and being so playful.

Why do people steal?

There are people who love to steal others work and recognition. There are people who would never dream of stealing no matter what their circumstances. There are others who may steal under certain circumstances and then there are those for whom stealing is a way of life. There can be many reasons why people steal and here are some of them:-

GREED

There will always be some people who are just plain greedy and want everything whether they can afford it or not. Fro these people stealing is an easy option.

LACK OF OR NO MORALS

Then again other people may just have not been brought up to feel that stealing is wrong. Their values are such that if they want to steal they don't see it as a problem.

NEED

Some folks just have so little that they see no other way out. It's easy to say that you would never steal, when you have no need to. However given a different hand in life who knows. If you were not too bright and unable to make a living, or just were really down on your luck, who can really say what they would do. If your little ones were starving you probably could do anything, so we should never judge too harshly.

PEER PRESSURE

Children sometimes go through a phase of petty thieving. Often it is their friends who are putting pressure on them to join in. They might be getting dared to steal or just might want to be accepted.

KLEPTOMANIA

There are some folks who have this psychological disorder which means that they cannot stop themselves from stealing. It is a compulsion.

THRILLS

Finally some people steal for the excitement and thrill. Some find it exciting to outwit the law and see how far they can go.

I suppose there may even be some who steal simply because they can.

10 Promises to My Dog

10 promises to my dog. A “watch-able” Japanese movie. Although it has the same story line from the common Japanese movie- some one “die-ed” from brain tumor. My rate for 10 promises to my dog- 4 twinkle little stars.

Setup

Finally done with the package I bought- Color + highlight + rebonding + pre treatment + post treatment. It took 1 month to complete the package; I have to get back to the salon 3 times to get it done because the shop close at 10pm and I have to work until 6.30pm on the weekdays, plus the package needs 9hours for the process. I took Easter with me to the salon on the 3rd time, here’s the picture~

Little Surprise

5th of Nov, I’ve got a little surprise from Peter’s parents. It is a little girly bible from aunty and uncle. The cover is nicely decorated and the inner page has cute designs. This is the cutest bible I ever had. The most attractive part is, there are some fun quizzes inside it. One of the interesting quiz is “when you feel jealous of somebody, you…”

Entertainment of the month

Weeee~ finally finish watching 家好月圆. Most of the people I know watched this drama long ago but Peter and I haven’t watched it till last week. Friends and relative said they’ve watched it, but didn’t have any DVD/ downloaded files of it. Can't wait anymore, we went to 1U and bought this drama and finish watching it in one week. After we bought it, I realize that my colleague sitting next to me – Alvin, has the downloaded file. Few days later, I realize my younger brother – Joshua, has the DVD. God… how can I missed to ask both of them? It’s not my habit to collect this kind of drama. Drama or movies, both I have no interest to watch the second time, unlike Joshua who can watch uncountable times. Well, The drama was great, but the ending is too common. I’d prefer 溏心风暴.
After complete reading Empress Orchid, The Last Empress is the book I’m reading now.
